This is a beginner friendly class, but we encourage students to have experienced a minimum of 1 Introduction level class prior to attending.
Grip strength, grip flexibility, and different ways of gripping the pole are a big part of our pole journey! But having a place where we can discuss and experience these dynamic interactions between our hands and the chrome isn't something we get to do on a regular basis. So join us for this specialized workshop where we'll dig into the mechanics of holding onto the pole, including the various types of grip positions (such as Handshake Grip, Twisted Grip, Inverted/Finger-Down Grip, Claw Grip, Full and Half Bracket, Strong Grip, and more), diverse ways of stretching and flexing hands, wrists, and arms, and how to care for our hands and arms so that our bodies are able to safely evolve as we get stronger and our pole moves become more diverse.
